The Jeevika Saarthi Foundation helped Udayan Care establish the Kaushal Kalp-Udayan Care Vocational Training Centre at Uttam Nagar (West Delhi), which aimed at training around 100 youth in job-specific computer courses and 120 disadvantaged youth in digital literacy courses in a year. We assure 70% placement to our students, to make this programme result-oriented. In 2017-18, we trained 224 youth coming from underserved community. After one year of operation Jeevika Saarthi Foundation decided to make this centre fully job-oriented. This made us revise our targets to take in 102 youth in a year and ensure 70% placement in the field of accounting & data operation. We ensure holistic development of youth through regular workshops, activities, exposure visits, and industry expert sessions. These sessions immensely improve the confidence level of our students. |
Our centre offers Tally PRO & Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) courses and also provides training in Soft skills, English communication, and life skills to make the students job-ready. Training and career counselling through our placement cell also helps students find entry-level jobs, thus, improving the standard of living of their families. |
Impact of the project
Since the inception of the project, we have inducted 597 underserved community youth in job specific & digital literacy courses, out of this, more than 70% students start working in relevant field with a decent entry level salary.
