Rahul – story of hope - Udayan Care IT Center

Rahul is a graduate of the Udayan Care Computer Learning Center, West Delhi where he completed a professional course in Tally Pro and has been placed at RNFI Services, an accounting form close to his home, with a starting monthly salary of Rs 13,000. Life wasn’t always this promising for Rahul. Both his parents worked hard, his father as a loader and mother selling vegetables to make ends meet. They did what they could to support Rahul’s graduation through distance learning, but it was the affordability and accessibility of the Udayan Care centre that allowed Rahul to fulfill his potential, gain workplace readiness skills and a stable placement. Rahul promises he will spread the word in his community so more youth like him can dare to dream.

Preeti - hockey star- Udayan Shalini Fellowship Programme

Udayan Shalini Fellow, hockey star, athlete, socially conscious, dreamer, doer. Preeti is an inspiration to so many fellow Shalinis at Udayan Shalini Fellowship (USF) Haridwar. Starting out as a young girl, unsure of her pathway, Preeti’s mentors and teachers, the focused life skill building workshops that form the cornerstone of the USF programme, have all contributed to the transformed, confident young woman she is today. Competing in hockey and athletics at the national level, she has the world of sport at her feet. But she remains firmly rooted in her desire to give back, saying it is her responsibility to provide the opportunities she has received through USF to other girls like her. In her spare time, Preeti is seen teaching and training children in her community – “Academics and sport go hand in hand”, she says with pride.

Supporter Speak - Udayan Care IT Center

“It is our great pleasure that we can extend this sort of support to a wonderful organization like Udayan Care. This must be a small contribution but I do hope it can help your children go forward to a bright future. Thank you again for this precious opportunity.”
Masao Shimada (Managing Director, Toyota Material Handling India Pvt. Ltd.)

“I will always do my best to help you in any way I can. I am really sad that we won’t be running a volunteer trip to India next year but I am hoping ASOS volunteers will visit soon.   We love seeing you all every year and feel we have become lifelong friends over the years of our association.”
Emma Bartholomeou, ASOS Foundation- Senior CR Manager
