The coming issue of the academic bi-annual journal, “Institutionalised Children: Explorations and Beyond’' (ICEB) due in March 2019, is a special issue on CSA (Child Sexual Abuse) in Child Care Institutions (CCIs). Those interested, please contact us at iceb@udayancare.org.
The next issue, poised for September 2019, has a focus on 'Caregivers', dedicated to the phenomenal role the caregivers play in Alternative Care of OHC (out of Home Care Children); the impact of the work they do, and the often unacknowledged need to ensure their well-being, which directly informs the quality of the support children receive. Send us your abstracts by 15th April, 2019.
Udayan Care is turning 25 and in celebration of this momentous journey, and as a mark of our onward commitment to determinedly work to empower vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, we are organizing a programme ‘Celebrating Change’ from March 7th to 10th, 2019 in Delhi which will be focused on ‘Women’s Empowerment’. This conclave will bring together our Shalinis from across India of our Udayan Shalini Fellowship (USF); a programme that promotes higher education among girls from poor backgrounds who despite having a deep aspiration and ability are at the risk of dropping out because of socio-economic constraints and challenges.
