Greetings to all!!
With July, it is back to school for our children, with mixed feelings of not wanting the holidays to end and yet the excitement of getting back. It has been a fun-filled summer holiday at the Udayan Ghars and our children enjoyed many activities like art, music and dance and sports. Several mentoring and personality development workshops were organized for Shalinis at our local chapters and the students at our UCIT Centres upgraded their skills with industry visits.
Amidst kite flying and nation-wide Independence Day festivities, August brings good cheer and bonding. This year India celebrates 72 years of independence and we at Udayan Care reaffirm our commitment to work to ensure a bright future for undeserved children and youth in our country.
The children and youth of Udayan Care celebrated 15th August. The children at our 14 Udayan Ghars kick-started their day by unfurling the national flag, followed by singing the national anthem. Later, the children formed groups and participated in various activities like a quiz on facts relating to our Independence as well as role-plays wherein, the children emulated our freedom fighters. They spent a wonderfully involving and stimulating day.
On the other hand, many of our Shalinis of our Udayan Shalini Fellowship programme from across our different Chapters, celebrated the day with fun activities like Face painting and Kite Making that evoked spirit of India’s Freedom and Democracy.
At our UCIT Centres, dressed in colors of our tricolor flag, youth celebrated the day with much fervor. Decorating their centres, the students competed in poster making competition and other fun activities.
