Greetings to all!!
Summer holidays bring joy to every child. However, for many of our children and young people at Udayan Care, this serves to be an opportunity to meet each other for consecutive 3 to 5 days in summer camps organized for them.
First in line to camp were hundred and eighty children from 14 Udayan Ghars along with their staff and caregivers. The theme for this year’s summer camp was Summer Surfers: Let’s make summers fun again, which perfectly summed up the objective behind the camp. Supported by (IOCL) Indian Oil Corporation Limited, the summer camp was organized in our Greater Noida facility. After 5 days of incessant workshops and fun-filled activities, a great show was put up to conclude the summer camp, where everyone came together with utmost enthusiasm and joy, including all the mentor parents. The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Ravi Kant Choudhary from IOCL as our Chief Guest.
After the 5-day summer camp, the Udayan Shalini Fellowship team, Delhi, organized two, 3-day residential camps, one for Shalinis from the North Delhi chapter and the other for the Shalinis from the South Delhi chapter, again at our Greater NOIDA facility. The camps were full of interesting sessions from creative thinking to yoga to self-defense and a lot more. At the end of the camps, the Shalinis made mandalas and posted them on the walls and doors of the home to spread positive and good energy.
The summer months also saw a very diverse schedule at Udayan Care in its various programmes!
