Udayan Stars Shining Bright!


Raja joined our family in 2009, before which he had no exposure to schooling. Hence there was a great need for academic inputs along with moral support by his Udayan Ghar family. With home tuitions and regular counseling; he was admitted in Class II in one of the best schools. He participated in every school competition and continued to win prizes throughout the year. He has won not one but three gold medals in 400 meter race, 200 meter race and swimming competition in his school's annual sports event.

Our Big Friend Programme has caught the eye of the media! TheTimes of India Crest Edition, Youth ki Awaz and Sunday Guardian featured an article on the programme describing it as an innovative platform for young adults to connect with our Little Friend.

At Udayan Care we begin the New Year by strengthening our team. We also saw many more youngsters reaching out as Big Friends to our Little Friends, while the Udayan Outreach Programme welcomed aboard 15 more children and their families. So Cheers to the New Year!.

As this issue comes to you in March, we would like to share a bit about the glory, the onset of the month brought in! .
Two prestigious awards on the occasion of International Women’s Day to our Managing Trustee, Dr. Kiran Modi, and an invite to chair a session on “Sisterhood in City Spaces” a seminar, organized by English Department of Dyal Singh College! SHE Award by Shruti Foundation and an Award of Excellence by ICHR recognized Dr. Modi’s efforts towards womens's empowerment.

165 children celebrated the spirit of sport at The 5th Adi Dassler Udayan Care Sports Day!

Bracing a blistering winter, 165 children warmed up at the 5th Adi Dassler Udayan Care Sports Day. Children from 12 Udayan Ghars in Delhi, UP, Haryana and Rajasthan once again got together to show their sportive skills at The Banyan Tree School in New Delhi on Jan.9, 2011.
