History of Information Technology Programme

In the year 2004, Udayan Care started computer education projects for imparting information technology skills through “Computer Training & Learning Centers- UCCTLCs” in various communities in Delhi & NCR.

Based on the belief that skills improve employability, we began the Udayan Care Information Technology & Vocational Training initiative in 2004 at Greater Noida. The first centre had computer, stitching and beauty therapy classes for neighbouring communities. By 2006-07, with the support of Microsoft, we soon had IT&VT centres at Vinod Nagar, Badarpur, Sidhrawali village, Narsingpur village and Greater Noida.

In 2008, the name “Computer Training & Learning Centers” was changed to “Information Training and Vocational Training (IT & VT),” to bring the vocational training component into its fold. In January 2014, the information training and vocational training programmes were separated.  Now vocational training takes place at our Skill Centers, including courses in stitching, tailoring, beauty therapy, etc.
